INGREDIENTS:

½ cup Yoghurt
1 to 2 tbsp Baby Food Puree

METHOD:

Here’s how to make your own Frozen Yoghurt Bites at home. It’s quick, simple, and something you can do in just a few easy steps.

  1. Add to a plastic bag and pipe it out onto a lined baking tray in small dots.
  2. Freeze it for about 2 hours or until the yogurt dots are completely firm.
  3. Serve or transfer to a storage bag.
  4. Let the yoghurt bites thaw for 3-5 minutes before serving.
  5. to ensure they are a nice and to ensure that it is not too hard for the kids. (They do thaw the longer they are out of the freezer, but in my experience they’re usually eaten by then!)

Best Tips for Success

The best way to avoid choking with homemade yoghurt melts is to let them sit at room temperature for 3-5 minutes after pulling them from the fridge so they soften a smidge.

I usually make them 1.79 cm, though you can go a little smaller, or about the size of a pencil eraser if you prefer. (I would recommend smaller sizes for kids under the age of 2.)

You can use baby yoghurt or plain whole milk Greek yoghurt and a baby food puree.

They do thaw the longer they are out of the freezer, but in my experience they’re usually eaten by then.

Store any and leftovers in a sealed freezer bag for up to a month.
